2016 Update
Welcome and thank you for visiting our site! We appreciate that you are taking your time to see our beautiful goats. We are very proud of what we have accomplished and believe in only putting out the best stock we possibly can. If we wouldn't want it in our herd, we cull hard. We will not sell a papered animals just because it is a pure bred. It must be conformationally correct AND have the genetics to milk proven through their dam or sire.
We export internationally, so our animals have been tested for many different things, such as CAE, TB, Brucellosis, blue tongue, Johnes, CL, and the list goes on. We maintain a disease free herd. We preform our annual CAE testing, but anything that is being exported is completed by an accredited veterinarian. We use Panhandle Veterinary services and are also inspected by the USDA.
Our farm is not open to the public, we will be selling milk directly from the farm by appointment only. Please send us an email at [email protected] for availability of our fresh animal consumption dairy products. During the late winter to spring months, we will have baby goats for you and your kids to visit with. We do not do farm tours or host petting zoos due to insurance and bio-security reasons.
We participate in ADGA's Plus program, which consists of Linear Appraisal, DHIR and DNA testing. We want to prove the quality that we are breeding. Our goats performance is as valuable as their confirmation.
Our goats are fed perennial peanut hay and a 18% dairy feed. We provide them with Golden Blend minerals and vaccinate with BarVac CDT. We use FAMACHA for parasite detection, so only try to worm when FAMACHA tells us to. We do copper bolus our goats and give BoSe as needed. We do have to coccidia treat our kids and very occasionally our adults and use Dimethox 40%. Our farm is on a well that goes into the Floridian Aquifer, so our goats are watered with great, clean water.
If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact Ken or Cristi Karr at [email protected]. You can also call us at home at (850) 819-4957. We are very active, so please be patient with us!
